November/December Racing

While a large share of the Advantage Multisport crew have been laying base for 2017, a few have been still tearing it up in road races and triathlons.

Many ribbons and pies were won by the Bellingham crew including Marti Riemer, Lora Olinger, Roxie Millsap, and Carol Beebe at the Fowl Fun Run in Skagit Valley earlier in November.

Marti followed up with a first place overall at the Mukilteo Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, showing that her running is back and will be a weapon again in 2017 races. Leighton Overson also raced on Thanksgiving day, throwing down a mid 17’s for 5k in the Tri Cities. Being as we have been in a more swim/bike focus the past couple months, this is quite exciting to see his running still very speedy!

Corbin Hudacek showed tremendous strength in battling through to second place overall at the HITS triathlon Half Iron Champioship. He lead the race through 8miles of the run, but then succumbed to fatigue as a stomach bug on race week had him running on fumes on raceday. This is a true testament to his talent and hard work ethic. It is going to be very exciting to watch him perform in 2017.

Gina Crosswhite was back to doing what she does best, running distances that would boggle the mind. She finished the North Face 50miler at the end of a very big season of ultras. She is on track for 2000+ miles of running and racing this year, and has another huge year planned in 2017.
