Wasatch 100, Best of the West, and Lake Stevens

A bit overdo on this report, but the past 2 weekends have been quite busy for Advantage Multisport athletes.  Lots of pictures to share, so I will let the pictures do most of the talking.

over 25k feet of gain, and ample descent in the race

Gina was behind her goal through the night, but rallied and pushed the last 40 miles to beat her goal by over 2 hours, showing her immense strength of body and spirit.

Roxie Millsap emerging from the swim in the Best of The West Half Iron .

pushing the bike

and finishing strong on the run.

Carol Beebe had a great swim,

but suffered some illness on the bike.

she rallied back on the run though,

to take second place in her age group.

Sean Hackney showed great swim fitness

rode smart and strong

closing out a very tough run course to finish the season.

Rusty Millsap made a huge leap in his swimming this year

and on the bike as well

then closed with a strong last 5k of the challenging half marathon to also finish out a great season

I was able to swim to the lead in my wave

and ride strong through the field

and show some speed in these old legs on the run

to finish the season with and age group win and 4th overall in the sprint.

this is what it is really all about, celebrating with great friends!

Jessica Rogers gets the “comeback” award of the year, winning her age group at the Lake Stevens Triathon after fracturing her neck and clavicle in June,

then backing it up with a win in the tandem division at the Bellingham Traverse one week later.

Chris Chesson capped off an outstanding year with a second place in the age Group at Lake Stevens as well.

What a fantastic summer it has been, and there are several fall and winter races coming up as well.  Thank you all for letting me be a part of your journey!
